Sun Day Carwash

As an LA transplant I’ve learned the joys of a car wash. There are so many here in this sunny city where the combination of lack of rain & desert dust do a number on our cars. Detailing spots are nice when you need that deep clean (I like the one in the gas station parking lot next to the Gelson’s in Silverlake) but sometimes you just want a quick fix and the theater of lights and foam the drive thru does so well.

Our local drive-thru car wash is Sun Day in Highland Park. We sprang for a membership which gets you unlimited washes, unlimited microfiber clothes and dash wipes (dash wipes are a game changer tbh) and the real throwback that seals the deal… they give you Capri Sun while you enjoy the show. Talk about memory lane!! It’s way too sweet and will give you a headache but the nostalgia is worth it.
